Shop purchases: When you buy a ready-made piece through our online shop, our checkout collects your name, email address, and shipping address (or confirms local pickup) directly on the site. - Submission data is stored on servers operated by Amazon Web Services (AWS), located in the European Union (Ireland). This means your personal information leaves Canada when you submit our form.
- Data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption.
- On our current plan, submissions are retained indefinitely unless we manually delete them (Forminit does not automatically expire submissions unless a retention period is configured).
- Forminit does not sell submission data to third parties and does not use tracking or advertising cookies.
Regardless of Forminit's own retention settings, we manually delete completed submissions — including any uploaded reference photos — once the associated project has been finished and delivered. We do not keep customer submissions indefinitely.
5. Shop & Shipping Partners
Shop purchases are handled through two third-party services:
- Stripe processes payment for shop orders. Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor and is the industry standard used by a large share of online stores; your card details are sent directly to Stripe and are never stored on our systems. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how it handles your payment data.
- Shippo is used to calculate live shipping rates and, where shipping is chosen over pickup, to arrange delivery through carriers such as Canada Post and UPS. Your postal code (and, if you choose shipping, your full delivery address) is shared with Shippo for this purpose.
